MY LITTLE GARDEN IN THE SPRING

Hey there bloggers, the weekend is here & it has been very hot in my neck of the woods.
 I know I'm a little behind & what I'm posting today is somewhat late, but I thought I would start from the beginning to tell you about my little garden.
Even though you got a sneak peak at it in my last post.
My little garden is coming along, it's a lot of work but I just take my time & work on it a little at a time.
This first pic is of my rhododendron  bush when it bloomed in the spring.

 Here is a pic of my garden in the spring when the mountain pink was getting ready to bloom.

 And here it is when it started to bloom.

 This pic & the one above is when I was re-building my rock wall.

It actually came out pretty good & the next time I post you will see what it all looks like now.

A New Beginning

Hello to all my blogger friends.
I know that I have been MIA, but my family & I have been going through a lot the past several months.
 Today I wanted to post on my blog to let everybody know that I am going to try to get back posting.
I'm not sure if it will be a daily post, but I will post as much as my life will allow me & I'm hoping that it will be more often than less.
I hope that all the fathers out there had a wonderful Fathers Day.

 My hubby Tom & I love sitting in our Adirondack chairs around the outdoor fireplace (that's it the one with the cover on it) in the evening ,enjoying the yard & just relaxing.

And here's Tom getting ready to grill, all tools in hand. But we haven't gotten around to buying a new grill yet. So, we used the next best thing we had available our fireplace. I just lined the pan in the bottom with foil to keep it clean from grease that would drip down & used this to put the charcoal in. Then I got a wire rack that I use to cool my home baked cookies on from my kitchen, placed that on top of the rack in the fireplace which usually holds the firewood.

 Even though we didn't grill on your normal barbecue, it worked just fine. The short ribs were delicious.

Now what is that old saying, where there's a will there's a way. It sure is when you put your mind to it.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW

I just wanted to let you know that I am still around, but won't be posting for awhile. I am sorry that I didn't finish up my last day of hearts & valentines week. Something very upsetting happened to me & I just haven't been interested in doing anything at all.
So I hope you will be patient with me & just give me some time to get everything straighten out.

POP UP HEART CARD

Well here it is Thursday and tomorrow it will be the last day for the hearts & valentines week.
Yesterday the weather was beautiful, but I couldn't spend my time outside. I was at the docs office all day getting another MRI, chest xrays, blood work & seeing the doc. I had a test back in November called a PFT which stands for a pulmonary function test. I have a very bad case of asthma which I have had for several years, but with the test I was diagnosed with CO PD. So now I have to see a pulmonary doc & he will probably put me on more meds. I'm a mess. The MRI was to see why I am in so much pain with my back after having 3 back surgeries in 2 years.
Anyway, enough about me. Today I wanted to show you a pop up birthday card that I made.. This card  would also be a great idea for valentines day. My friends birthday is in February so I thought it would be appropriate to make a card with hearts.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card. It sure was fun making it.

VALENTINES DAY BAGS

Hello everyone and how are you doing today. Yesterday the weather was pretty nice here in the low 50's, but today we are having showers. I wish all winter the weather would be mild, but February & March are always the worst.
Today I wanted to show you the little tote bags that I made for my grandchildren. I purchase them at AC Moore and to decorate them I used Stickles Glitter Glue. I love this glitter glue because it dries quickly and when it dries the glitter doesn't fall off, so there is no glitter mess. Stickles  glitter glue is also great for card making & scrap booking, I use it all the time.

This is a quick and easy way to embellish something.
