HELLO TO MY FRIENDS & FOLLOWERS.
THIS IS DAY 3 OF THE DISHCLOTH CHALLENGE & I WAS TRYING TO DESIGN AN INTERESTING STITCH FOR DISHCLOTH #3, I CALL THIS ONE TWIST & SCRUB
SO HERE IS THE PIC & INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE IT.
COPYRIGHT BY DENISE G.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
SMALL AMOUNT OF YARN- FOR MAIN COLOR & ALSO A CONTRAST COLOR FOR EDGING. I USED RED HEART WORSTED WEIGHT ( SCRAP YARN FROM MY STASH)
CROCHET HOOK = SIZE G
(SC=SINGLE CROCHET) (DC=DOUBLE CROCHET) (TWIST DC=DOUBLE CROCHET AROUND DC POST OF PREVIOUS ROW) ( CHAIN 2= A DC)
THIS IS AN EASY DESIGN, BUT DIFFERENT
ROW 1- CHAIN 25, TURN, THEN SC IN 2ND CHAIN FROM HOOK ACROSS (24 SC)
ROW 2- CHAIN 2, TURN, THEN DC IN 2ND CHAIN FROM HOOK ACROSS (24 DC)
ROW 3- CHAIN 2, TURN, THEN DO A TWIST DC AROUND POST OF 2ND DC FROM HOOK OF PREVIOUS ROW ACROSS TO CHAIN 2, YOU WILL DO A TWIST DC AROUND THE CHAIN- YOU WILL HAVE 24 TWIST DC INCLUDING CHAIN 2
ROW 4-18- CHAIN 2 & REPEAT ROW 3
AT THE END OF ROW 18, DO NOT FASTEN OF
EDGING;
CHAIN 1 & TURN, THEN SC IN FIRST SC ACROSS TO THE CORNER. DO 2 SC IN CORNER STITCH, THEN WORKING DOWN SIDE, SC EVENLY TO NEXT CORNER AT BOTTOM & DO 2 SC IN CORNER STITCH.
THEN SC ACROSS TO NEXT CORNER AT BOTTOM & PUTTING 2 SC IN CORNER STITCH.
CONTINUE UP ALONG SIDE WITH SC EVENLY TO FIRST SC, ENDING WITH 2 SC IN CORNER STITCH. THEN SLIP STITCH & FASTEN OFF.
ATTACH CONTRASTING COLOR IN TOP CORNER STITCH WITH A SLIP STITCH.
CHAIN 1, THEN SC IN SLIP STITCH & SC ACROSS TOP TO CORNER STITCH, DOING 2 SC IN CORNER STITCH, CONTINUE DOWN SIDE SC EVENLY TO BOTTOM CORNER WITH 2 SC. THEN SC ACROSS BOTTOM TO NEXT CORNER, WITH 2 SC. THEN WORKING UP SIDE WITH SC EVENLY TO TOP CORNER, ENDING WITH 2 SC IN FIRST CORNER STITCH.
CHAIN 2, DO NOT TURN, SKIP FIRST SC, THEN SC IN NEXT SC.
*CHAIN 2, SKIP SC & SC IN NEXT SC, REPEAT FROM * CONTINUE AROUND ALL SIDES & WHEN YOU GET BACK TO FIRST SC STITCH, SLIP STITCH IN SC & FASTEN OFF.
WEAVE IN ALL LOOSE ENDS. NOW WASN'T THAT FUN?
THIS IS A GREAT DISHCLOTH FOR SCRUBBING, SINCE BOTH SIDES HAVE RIDGES.
HOPE YOU WILL TRY THIS ONE, IF NOT PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT
IF YOU ARE CONFUSED ABOUT ANY OF MY INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT & I WILL EXPLAIN IN MORE DETAIL.
HOPE Y'ALL HAD A WONDERFUL & BLESSED DAY.
HUGS,
DEE
