MY CRAZY DAY

HOW IS EVERYBODY DOING TODAY?
BOY DID I HAVE A CRAZY DAY.
FIRST  MY FUTURE DIL ASKED ME IF I WOULD GO WITH HER TO THE DENTIST, SO I COULD WATCH THE BABY & I SAID OF COURSE I WOULD.
PLUS IT GIVES ME QUALITY TIME WITH MY GRANDSON.
DEREK NOT FEELING VERY GOOD & NOT SURE WHY HE IS FEELING THIS WAY

THESE ARE PICS BEFORE THE RASH CAME OUT
SHE HAD TOLD ME THAT HE BROKE OUT IN A RASH AT 3 AM & GOT HIS FEVER BACK. THE POOR LITTLE GUY HAS BEEN FIGHTING THIS FEVER SINCE SAT. NIGHT.
MY SON STEVEN & HIS FIANCE BARB TOOK DEREK TO THE ER SAT. NIGHT & THEY WERE TOLD THAT HE HAD A LITTLE COLD, SO HE WAS PUT ON AMOXICYLIN.
BY THE TIME WE GOT TO THE ER TODAY HIS RASH WAS ALL OVER HIS LITTLE BODY WHICH LOOKED LIKE TINY MEASLES.
SO THE CONCLUSION IS EITHER DEREK IS ALLERGIC TO AMOXICYLIN OR HE HAS WHAT IS CALLED ROSYOLA.( I'M NOT SURE IF I AM SPELLING IT RIGHT )
HE HAS THE RASH LIKE TINY MEASLES, SWALLON LYMPH NODES BEHIND HIS EARS & SWALLON EYES WHICH IS  SOME SYMPTONS OF ROSYOLA.
BUT THE DOC TOLD MY DIL TO TAKE HIM OFF THE AMOXICYLIN, JUST TO BE SURE.
I HAVEN'T HEARD AN UPDATE YET, BUT I REALLY HOPE BY TOMORROW THAT OUR LITTLE ONE WILL BE MUCH BETTER

SORRY FOR NO DISHCLOTH DESIGN, BUT WITH ALL THAT WENT ON TODAY, I FELT THAT MY DARLING LITTLE GRANDSON WAS MORE IMPORTANT.

DIFFENTLY TOMORROW I WILL POST # 11 & MY FIRST HINT OF WHAT I WILL BE DOING AFTER ALL THE DISHCLOTHES ARE FINISHED.

I HOPE Y'ALL HAD A WONDERFUL & BLESSED DAY.

ONE MORE THING, I HAVEN'T HAD ANY COMMENTS FROM TERRIE OR MARIE & I'M WORRIED ABOUT THEM.
HOPE Y'ALL ARE DOING GOOD & I HEAR FROM YOU BOTH REAL SOON.

HUGS,
DEE

UPDATE ON WHY I DIDN'T POST YESTERDAY

HELLO TO EVERYONE,

I KNOW THAT I DIDN'T POST ANYTHING NEW ON FRIDAY. I JUST WASN'T DOING TO WELL WITH ALL THE PAIN THAT I AM IN.

I WENT TO SEE MY SURGEON AT THE HOSPITAL WHICH IS 2 HOURS AWAY FROM ME & BOY WHAT A LONG RIDE THAT IS ON THE HORRIBLE PA ROADS.

THE DOC LOOKED AT MY X-RAYS & CAT SCANS, THEN TOLD ME THAT AT LEAST ONE OF THE RODS & 3 SCREWS ARE BROKEN, WHICH MEANS THEY HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

I HAVE TO GO FOR MORE SCANS ON THE 8TH, THEN IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS I WILL BE BACK IN THE HOSPITAL FOR ANOTHER BACK SURGERY.

HE SAID THAT IT IS ANOTHER SERIOUS ONE, BUT AT LEAST THIS SURGERY WILL ONLY BE 6 HOURS, NOT 16 LIKE THE FIRST ONE.

I ALSO SHOULDN'T BE IN THE HOSPITAL AS LONG THIS TIME, ONLY A WEEK OR TWO INSTEAD OF A MONTH.

SO THAT'S MY UPDATE IF ANYONE IS WONDERING.

I DO PROMISE THAT AFTER CHURCH TOMORROW SOMETIME IN THE AFTERNOON, I WILL POST # 9 DISHCLOTH DESIGN FOR Y'ALL

I REALLY DO HOPE THAT YOUR DAY WAS A  BLESSED & WONDERFUL ONE.

HUGS,
DEE

AND HERE IS #8 CALLED THE RIDGY SCRUBBER

HELLO TO EVERYBODY,

THIS IS ONE OF MY NEW DESIGNS & I AM CALLING IT THE RIDGY SCRUBBER. I JUST LOVE IT WHEN I HAVE A GOOD CLOTH THAT CAN REALLY SCRUB OFF THE FOOD ON THOSE DISHES.
IT IS ALSO A GOOD DISHCLOTH FOR SCRUBBING THE COUNTERS & APPLIANCES, BECAUSE IT HAS RIDGES ON BOTH SIDES.

YOU CAN WHIP THIS DESIGN UP IN NO TIME. I HOPE THAT YOU WILL MAKE ONE, POST A PIC & LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

A SMALL AMOUNT OF WORSTED WEIGHT YARN- I USED RED HEART SIZE MEDIUM 100% ACRYLIC, VARIEGATED. YOU CAN ALSO USE A COTTON YARN, WHICH MANY PREFER

SIZE H CROCHET HOOK

COPYRIGHT BY DENISE G

ROW 1- CHAIN 31, SC IN SECOND CHAIN FROM HOOK ACROSS TO LAST CHAIN (30SC)

ROW 2- CHAIN 1 TURN,   (WORKING IN BACK LOOP ONLY THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE DESIGN IN EVERY ROW) *PICK UP BACK LOOP, SC IN SECOND CHAIN FROM HOOK ACROSS TO LAST SC.*

ROW 3-34- CHAIN 1 TURN, REPEAT ROW 2 FROM*-*, UNTIL ALL 34 ROWS ARE DONE

TO FINISH OFF, WHEN YOU DO THE LAST SC IN OF ROW 34, SLIP STITCH & FASTEN OFF.
WEAVE IN ANY LOOSE ENDS

* IMPORTANT INFO TO KNOW* WHEN YOU ARE CROCHETING THIS DESIGN, YOU WILL START SEEING WHEN YOU GET A COUPLE ROWS DONE, THE RIDGES WILL START TO SHOW.
THIS WAY YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE DOING THE DESIGN RIGHT

THIS DESIGN IS QUICK, EASY & A NICE TIGHT CROCHET

I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS ONE AND OR ANY DESIGNS THAT I HAVE POSTED SO FAR & I HOPE SOMEONE TRIES ONE OR ALL DESIGNS.
I LOVE TO SEE PICS OF WHAT OTHER CROCHETERS CAN DO TOO, SO I HOPE I GET TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.

HOPE YOUR DAY WAS JUST A WONDERFUL WARM & BLESSED DAY

SORRY FOR NOT POSTING # 8

MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR KIND THOUGHTS.
IT WAS VERY HARD FOR ME TODAY, NOT SEEING ROCKY IN THE HOUSE. SO MANY TIMES I WOULD THINK I HEARD HIS BARK OR WHEN I WOULD TALK TO MY OTHER LITTLE DOG, I WOULD CALL HIM ROCKY INSTEAD OF BRUISER.  I KNOW TIME HEALS, BUT I AM TIRED OF BEING SAD.

TODAY ALSO, THE LADY THAT HAS BEEN LIVING WITH US FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS, MOVED INTO AN ASSISTANT LIVING FACILITY. THIS WAS A HARD DECISION FOR ME TO MAKE, BUT IT HAS BEEN GETTING TOO MUCH FOR ME.
SHE IS 82 & I REALLY THINK THAT LIVING THERE WILL BE MUCH BETTER FOR HER. ITS A LOVELY PLACE & THE STAFF IS JUST WONDERFUL. I GOT ALL HER CLOTHES UNPACKED & FIXED UP HER SIDE OF THE ROOM. WE STILL HAVE A FEW MORE THINGS TO TAKE OVER, BUT WE ARE HOPING THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO DO SO BY THE WEEKEND. I WAS OVER THERE MOST OF THE DAY & WHEN I GOT BACK HOME I WAS SO EXHAUSTED.
ITS NOT TOO FAR A WAY FROM MY HOME, SO I WILL BE ABLE TO VISIT HER. THE ONLY THING THAT SHE WASN'T HAPPY WITH WAS BECAUSE SHE HAS TO SHARE HER ROOM, BUT I THINK IN TIME SHE WILL BE OK ABOUT IT.

SO IT WAS A LOT FOR ME TODAY & SORRY THAT I DIDN'T POST # 8, BUT I JUST WASN'T UP TO CROCHETING.
I PROMISE THAT I WILL POST #8 BY TOMORROW.

HOPE Y'ALL HAD A WONDERFUL & BLESSED DAY

# SEVEN FOR MY DISHCLOTH CHALLENGE

HI & HERE I AM AGAIN,

AFTER HAVING OUR SAD NEWS TODAY, I JUST COULDN'T COME UP WITH A DESIGN OF MY OWN.
SO, I THOUGHT I WOULD POST ONE THAT I CROCHETED RECENTLY WHICH IS A  DESIGN OF THE TALENTED MAGGIE WELDON.
THIS DESIGN IS #23 CALLED HOLEY CROCHET DISHCLOTH, FROM HER DISHCLOTH CHALLENGE.
YOU CAN GET THE DIRECTIONS BY GOING TO www.bestfreecrochet.com, THEN GO TO HER DISHCLOTH CHALLENGE & LOOK FOR #23.

HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS ONE, TOO.

I HOPE THAT YOU & YOUR FAMILY HAD A BLESSED & WONDERFUL DAY.
HUGS,

MORE SAD NEWS FOR OUR FAMILY

HELLO ALL,
THIS IS ONE VALENTINES DAY THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET.

I AM POSTING 2 DIFFERENT POSTS TODAY, ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE MORE SAD NEWS TO TELL FIRST.
OUR DOG ROCKY WHO WAS 13 YEARS OLD, PASSED AWAY THIS EVENING.
I WAS THE ONE WHO FOUND HIM LYING ON THE FLOOR & MY SON STEVEN & I TOOK IT VERY HARD. ROCKY WAS SO CLOSE TO STEVEN WHEN HE WAS GROWING UP.
ROCKY  WAS A JACK RUSSELL.  WHEN  MY BOYS GAVE HIM HIS TREATS, THEY WOULD HOLD UP THE TREAT HIGH  & ROCKY WOULD JUMP UP VERY HIGH OFF THE GROUND. HE WAS A WONDERFUL PET & FRIEND.
ANIMALS BECOME FAMILY MEMBERS & MY HUBBY SAID THAT HE JUST DOESN'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE SADNESS & HURT THAT WE CAN TAKE.
THIS IS JUST TOO MUCH IN A VERY SHORT TIME.
FIRST MY FIL & NOW OUR PUPPY ROCKY.
ALL I CAN SAY IS AT LEAST THEY ARE BOTH AT PEACE.
BOTH OF THEM WILL BE MISSED SO VERY MUCH.

SO I GOT SOME THINGS TOGETHER FOR THEM & SENT IT OUT IN THE MAIL.
I AM HOPING THAT THEY WILL BE SURPRISED & IT WILL MAKE THEM HAPPY

HERE IS SOME PICS OF WHAT I GOT FOR MY GIRLS. & THE CARD I MADE FOR THEM.
BOTH GIRLS GOT THE SAME AMOUNT OF THINGS. AREN'T THEY CUTE?

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEART DISHCLOTH

Hello Everybody,

I hope that your day went well. Even though I didn't get any comments today, I am still going to continue my 2 week challenge of 12 dishcloths.
So, since this is not my own design & it isn't right to copy somebody Else's instructions.
Here is the link to Maggies crochet to get the instructions of the heart design.
Just go to www.bestfreecrochet.com & you will see her dishcloth challenge. The pattern for the heart one is #1.
Now tomorrow will be #2 dishcloth, but it won't be from one of Maggies designs.
So, I hope that you will stop by tomorrow to see a pic of the next one on my dishcloth challenge.
I also hope to see pics of what type yarn & color you crocheted the heart design.

Remember, there is a surprise gift for someone.
So lets get crocheting & have fun.

Hope you have a Wonderful & Blessed Day tomorrow.
HUGS,
DEE

I'M CURIOUS

HELLO TO ALL MY FRIENDS,

I apologize for not posting the directions for the HEART DISHCLOTH.

Yesterday, we had a family issue to take care of & didn't get home until very late.

Today, when I went to check my comments, I didn't see not one about if anybody liked the idea of the first dishcloth.
So, I am wondering if I should continue with my DISHCLOTH CHALLENGE?
I will check back  later in the day to see if there is any comments & or interest.
Let me know please or if not I will come up with a different idea.

Hope your day is going well & May You Have  A Wonderful & Blessed One.

SNEAK PEAK

Hello Everyone,

I promised you a sneak peak of the first challenge. I crocheted this pattern in 2 different colors, just to show you how colors can change a look.
This pattern is an original design by MAGGIE WELDON, a wonderful designer.
Crocheting for me has always been great therapy & even though I crochet all year round, winter is the best time when you are stuck in the house.

I am extending the sign up deadline until tomorrow Feb.6th.
I would really like to see more crocheters signing up.
So, come on my friends & new friends, lets have fun.

See Y'all tomorrow with the directions.
May you have a Wonderful & Blessed Day.

GROUND HOGS DAY & A CHALLENGE

Well, here it is GROUND HOGS DAY & LOL I don't even know if he saw his shadow or not. I wouldn't think so, since the weather is so terrible. Can somebody let me know what you have heard, cause I am really hoping for an early spring. I am so sick of all this snow & ice. Where we are going to build our new home in Virginia, it is a high of 63 degrees as I am posting. Oh how I wish we were already living there, hopefully next year we will be in our new home.
I hope everybody else that are having this bad weather are being safe & warm.

I am starting to get enthusiastic about crafting again & I was wondering all you crocheters out there, would you like to join me in a crochet dish cloth challenge?
I have loved to crochet since I was a little girl. It's quick, easy & fun.
Who will join me in this challenge?
And there is a surprise at the end, someone will win a gift, but it is a surprise, so I can't tell you.

This is how it will work;
Starting Sunday Feb.6th I will post a finished pic of the first dish cloth with directions for you to make it & then you will post a pic of your finished dish cloth on Monday, here on my blog.
Each day I will post a new pic & pattern, totaling 6 dish clothes for the week.
I will do this for a 2 week period, so you will have a total 12 dish clothes when we are finished.

I want you to crochet them in any color that matches your decor or colors that you like, so you don't have to have yours look like mine.
The yarn that you can use are RED HEART SUPER SAVER # 4 weight, which I love, cause they turn out nice & thick, great for scrubbing those pots.
Also you can use WORSTED WEIGHT COTTON YARN, such as by LILY SUGAR 'n CREAM
This is also a great way to use up your extra skeins or balls of yarn that you don't know what to do with.
Please make this your own personal set of dish clothes or for a wonderful gift.

I like making things that can be useful.

So please, leave me a comment & let me know what you think about this challenge.

Whose in ladies?
I am so excited about my very first challenge, also to see all the different ideas & to see whom will be the winner of the surprise gift.

Deadline to sign up is Saturday Feb. 5th.

HOPE Y'ALL HAVE A BLESSED & WONDERFUL DAY.

HUGS,
DEE
